Whether you’re bbqing or not, I’m sure you’re going to be celebrating with friends and family. Here’s my list of great last-minute makes for your 4th of July gathering…
SIPS:
SIDES/MUNCHIES:
- chopped caprese salad (so easy and quick to throw together)
- baked cilantro fries (fries the healthy way, no guilt! :)
- baked cajun fries
- momofuku’s ginger scallion noodles (another great easy make-ahead dish!)
- layered baked Louisiana style chicken nachos
MAIN EATS:
- cherry tomato pizza (vegetarian friendly :)
- hot + sweet sriracha wings (sweet and spicy!)
- baked parmesan chicken wings (savory goodness!)
- maple garlic ginger chicken wings (my favorite and I got these wings featured in a magazine :)
- short ribs with ginger soy marinade (a great Asian-inspired alternative to traditional bbqing)
- simple sesame noodles (I think this needs to be made tomorrow!!)
- baked ravioli (great for feeding a crowd!)
SWEETS:
- funfetti ice cream sandwiches (a great cold treat!)
- kat’s top-secret “homemade” funfetti cupcakes (so easy!! :)
- frosted sugar cookie bars (this makes a lot, also great for satisfying everyone’s sweet tooth)
- super soft snickerdoodle cookies (cakey soft! not lying :)
- betty crocker’s ultimate chocolate chip cookies (simple, classic, and easy!)
- chewy chocolate chip cookie bottomed cupcakes (these will definitely make your guests “oohh” and “awww”!)
Have a happy and safe 4th of July!

If you live in LA, have you tried fonuts? It’s few blocks away from the Farmer’s Market (3rd street). They have this interesting fonut flavor —Maple Bacon. http://fonuts.com/flavors/#!prettyPhoto%5Bmaple-bacon%5D/0/
