this + that :: i miss the weekend
Posted: October 15, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 2 Comments »Why can’t weekends be loooooonger? Time just flies way to fast for me to even catch up! I’ve been so occupied and exhausted from work that I’ve finally started showing signs of “losing it”. My definition of losing it involves forgetting the days and showing up to appointments that don’t even start till the next day, le sigh I’m a whiner today :)
Anyhoo, I hope you guys had a wonderful Monday!
Check out my little photo diary of the past week…
Ahhh my first hot chocolate of the season!
I’ve been trying and making the effort to eat healthy at lunch because from Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm, I am stuck sitting in a chair! So the majority of my lunches have been nothing much just good old healthy fruits (strawberries, grapes), veggies (carrots), and half a PB+J sandwich!

Flavored butter is just so much better than plain butter, right? Hehe :)

Ahhh bacon, my favorite! I love my bacon deep-fried! So bad for you, I know… but I think it’s safe to indulge once in a while!
How do you like to enjoy your bacon?

Just a quick pop-in, but I hope you’re having a lovely Monday! I just wanted to share a quick snapshot of the banana ice cream I made. It literally took seconds and is sooo yummy! It reminds me of the homemade banana ice cream my mom used (used=once :) to make for me when I was a kid. I hope you give this a try and please let me know what you think about it! xo, kat.

this + that :: fifty shades
Posted: August 20, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized 6 Comments »Hi guys! I hope you’re having a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening/night…wherever it may be, I hope you are having a fantastic day!
Here’s what I’ve been up as seen through Instagram….
This has been my mid/late-summer reading. I’ve finally been bit with the Fifty Shades of Grey bug, and I am obsessed with the book! I’m halfway through the first book, and I already don’t want it to end! Thank goodness there are two more books left in the series! Have you hopped onto the Fifty Shades train?
I am so excited for the holidays to come! There are so many holiday treats I want to make like apple pie bars and cinnamon roll cookies!
Late summer lunch dates with my dad have been a reoccurring trend…
But breakfast made by my other favorite man will always be my favorite :)
And this tune have been on constant repeat!
I need to get my butt back into the kitchen! But it’s just sooo hot lol. What have you been cooking? :)
xoxo, kat

“The only real stumbling block is fear of failure. In cooking you’ve got to have a what-the-hell attitude,” Julia Child.
Julia Child was one of the very first chefs I ever watched on tv. My six-year old self was enamored with her wit, spontaneity, humor, and delicious offerings! Before the Food Network or the Cooking Channel, I was glued to PBS everyday watching her, Jacque Pepin, Jacque Torres, and Martin Yan. I truly believe they were the true pioneers of tv cooking before Emeril, Rachel, Ina, and Giada.
Here are some of Julia’s classic recipes made by some of my favorite bloggers!
