there's a guide to enjoy the better half of the day :) || photo ihopeyoulikedancinintherain.tumblr.com
Another week down, only 3 more weeks to Halloween! Is anyone else bummed that All Hallow’s Eve falls on a Monday…? Geez Monday, you’re already a bummer but thanks for also being a buzz kill too :)
Speaking of Halloween, there are a few things I haven’t done yet…like a pumpkin carve, purchase copious amounts of candy, make my own Halloween themed sugary confections, and watch “Hocus Pocus” (you can watch it in parts here on Youtube). Oh my, I’m way behind this year!
As usual, this week went by so fast! Here are some of my faves from the week…

Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I didn’t know this until now but I am officially 4 months old today! What a milestone! I never, in a million years, thought I would be blogging!
A friend once asked me, why is this blogging thing so important to me… at first, I didn’t really have an answer but now I can genuinely say that this blog is important to me because it is a reflection of me and everything in my life. Since I started to learn how to cook, I have always wanted to share with people my cooking experiences, frustrations, success, and failures. In no way am I on my way to being an expert, but I truly enjoy learning and talking about anything food related.
Thank you to anyone that has ever stopped by she cooks, he eats and for taking the time to read my crazy babbles, yummy date night recipes, and anything and everything in between.
I’ve had such a great time meeting and interacting with people here on WordPress, and I hope to continue our blog-friendship (even if your country banned you hehe :).
Hope everyone is ready to kick off the weekend!
many x’s and o’s
love, kat
oh my, it’s the 7 links challenge!
Posted: September 30, 2011 Filed under: babble, thank you babble | Tags: seven links challenge 12 Comments »This week I was tagged by the lovely Jamie from A Dash of Domestic to participate in an ongoing 7 links challenge within the blogging community. I love her recipes and am obsessed with her garden! The only thing growing in my backyard are spring onions and maybe a guava or two (if those pesky birds haven’t gotten to them yet!).
I was super excited/a bit nervous to participate because…well, I haven’t been blogging for very long and if you haven’t noticed I babble A LOT! Hehe thanks for sticking by me though :)
With fingers crossed, here goes nothing! (ps. click the pics for the post mentioned :)
Most beautiful post…

it would have to be my post remembering the people who were important to us that we lost; this post will always be my most personal (and emo) post... || photo suninhereyes.tumblr.com
Most popular post…

according to the stats, my original spaghetti and meatballs post has garnered the most attention so far (over a whopping (at least for me) 300 views)
Most controversial post…

a pic of sexy man hands!! haha jk! originally this recipe was titled "sex in your mouth salsa" but was later changed to "party in your mouth salsa"... i guess that sex in your mouth part is not very PG?

Happy first day of Autumn!!
I’m excited! I love it when the seasons change. Sadly, it’s still super warm here….BOOOO hehe :)
After a wonderful vacation, I’m so happy to be back! It was quite an exhausting day settling in to my new routine, but it was a great day nonetheless. Aside from that, I’m also catching up on my foodie blogs and I’m on the hunt for a new dish, cupcake, or cookie that inspires me. I can’t wait to cook again! I just haven’t found the right recipe yet…. Any suggestions? I’m always up for anything and would love to hear your ideas!
Before I forget, I have some happy news to share!! I got new bakeware to replace my stolen/abused bakeware. We picked up a beautiful cake and brownie pan from Williams-Sonoma the other day, I can’t wait to start baking festive holiday treats! Thank you amazing boyfriend :)
Also, I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Trish! I love reading your comments, and thank you so much for taking the time to read my tiny little blog…it really really does means a lot to me :). And anyone that’s ever visited she cooks, he eats…thank you!! It’s terrifying expressing your thoughts in such a public forum, and I love how supportive everyone on WordPress is!
Here are some of my faves from the week…

Another reason why I love Fridays hehe. Oh boy, has there been a lot of you this week! Quite a heat wave this week! Did anyone else notice that there’s still sunshine out even when it’s late into the afternoon?
Hope you all had a great week! After a holiday, the days that follow always feel a little bit off to me. But this week went by fast nonetheless! I can’t believe she cooks, he eats is almost 3 months old. I want to thank everyone that has taken time out of their day to visit…honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful! Until this year, I haven’t really cooked much before but now I’m loving it! Thank you all for going on this wonderful food journey with me! I owe you all hugs!! :)
