Where has the time gone?! How did 2012 treat you? I hope this year went by smoothly for you!
I can’t believe another year has passed and gone. It feels like this year went by so much quicker than the last, sigh… And what about the rapture? The world didn’t end!! Actually, I’m glad the world hasn’t ended. There is so much I still want to accomplish and do in my life.
This year was amazing! I finally graduated and got my Masters degree in Economics, I found a job that I love and also got the chance to meet some pretty wonderful new friends, my blog turned 1, my boyfriend and I hit the 3.5 year mark, and I’m trying to make my last six months of being in my mid-20s stretch lol. Now that I’m older, the thought of getting older beyond my 20s kinda scares me but I’m excited nonetheless.
Here are just a few of my favorite moments from 2012:
My wings in a magazine!
He put a bow on it for Valentine’s Day :)
It’s been so long, I don’t even know what to title this post buy hey it’s a blog post nonetheless

Phew, now that that’s all taken care of, I miss my blog. I miss my you guys. I miss baking cupcakes. I miss interacting with all of you guys. I miss my hobby. I miss cooking and I’m sure he misses eating lol.
she cooks, he eats was a happy accident. When I first made this blog, I had no intentions to blog but more like chronicle what I’ve made on my “Kat needs to find a hobby so she can quit annoying her boyfriend, so I’ll cook ” adventure. After my first post on cinnamon swirl pancakes, I was hooked. I fell in love with blogging and the online foodie community. My boyfriend even surprised me with my own url (http://www.shecooksandheeats.com), which I still haven’t transferred over or re-routed that one to this or this to that…ugh you guys know what I mean ie. I’ve become lazy.
Anyhoo to spare you from reading anymore of my awful run-on sentences, I just wanted to let you know that I have been cooking (not as much as I’d like to) and he has been eating (hmph, not my cooking!) :)

It’s been forever and I can’t even remember the last time I popped in! Work has been consuming my life. No complaining from me! I actually enjoy work and I love my job! I’ve also been down with the flu this week, thank you work cooties… :). And the weather! Oh my gosh, the weather! It’s finally feeling like the holidays! We had our first official rain this week and it felt so nice bundling in a coat and scarf!
Anyhoo, the boyfriend and I finally got to spend some much needed time bf+gf time and spent the day in LA. If you guys ever need recommendations in the LA area, ask him! He knows all the coolest spots! Me, on other hand, I’m an OC girl so I’m not much help lol.
We headed to the Beverly Center to hit up the Bloomie’s friends and family sale! After working hard and saving for a month and a half, I finally splurged and purchased the bag that’s been on my “wish list” ever since our Euro-trip back in 2010. It’s a beautiful roomy bag and perfect for all my working girl needs :).

ps, that’s not my purse :)
Afterwards, we drove around and found this little gem!
The lines at Pink’s may be long, but it’s so worth the wait! The chili cheese dog was yummy! The New York dog wasn’t what I expected but it was still good!

chili cheese dog for him, new york dog for her and a side of onions and an order of bacon burrito dog to ooh and aww over ;)
Their infamous wall of celebrities!
But heart belongs to George Costanza!
I had a fabulous time, thank you boyfriend! And I can’t leave without showing you guys a picture of my cupcake!!

someone brought in cupcakes at work! it was perfect for the girl with the flu who was bundled in a coat and scarf during lunch :)
Anyways, I hope you guys are having a wonderful start to November! I am so excited for all the holidays!! Let me know what you’ve been up to!
Happy weekend! xoxo, kat

Posted: October 7, 2012 Filed under: babble | Tags: food, tacos, trader joes 8 Comments »It’s so hard to believe that we’re already in October. It just feels like time has been going by so fast!
I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! Are you ready for the new week to start? I’m a little excited/bummed that the weekend was so short! I survived my first week of work and an 8-5 schedule Now that I’m working, I wake up shouting “TGIFriday!!” on Friday mornings and try to be as productive as I can be on the weekends. So far, productive is defined as stay in bed all day and catch up on all my favorites shows on Hulu :)
Here’s a photo recap of my week…
My parents were on a mission to fatten me up prior to the start of work! I’m going to miss our impromptu midday lunches and shopping sprees…
