here are some highlights from my week that made me smile…
favorite sip:
yes...i'm classy like that, sipping merlot with a red vine straw makes for tipsy times and endless giggles :) || merlot by falesco || have you tried? so good! slowly loving reds, any recs for red wines?
favorite treat:
we shared a small peach pinkberry with mochi + cinnamon streusel (for her) and strawberries + fruity pebbles (for him)
favorite boyfriend-made concoction (recipe coming soon!):
move over chilaquiles, pasta e olio à la mon ami is my current fave!

Hope the case of Mondays didn’t get to you! Here’s a super yummy quickie dinner idea for those of you who are currently pizza, which just so happens to be all the time for me! I was actually inspired by the new Papa John’s 5-Sausage Pizza because it had chorizo, but I think my version is way better (not biased at alllll here, smh hehe) and way more healthier! We made this for date night and it was so easy and effortless!
Pineapple + chorizo, amazing on its own but together…mmmm mmm mmmm :)

This has been such a relaxing week! Hope your week was just as great!
Hmmm let’s see what I’ve done this week…
- slept in every day!
- morning (okay, okay…more like noon :) wake-up calls from my boyfriend
- watched 3 hours straight of “I Love Lucy” Mon.-Fri.
- crocheted a pillow
- learned spanish!!
- currently speaking spanglish

i made buttermilk pancakes and baaaaacon! oh ps, organic blue agave syrup is the best :)

Favorite one-chip wonder:
I prefer my chocolate chip cookies to have the least amount of chips as possible! what can I say, I just love the cookie part! plus I used extra large ghirardelli chips lol :)

They are super cute, tiny, colorful, tasty, and just tooooo adorable! Awww macarons, how much I love thee!
Aside from cupcakes, these are my favorite desserts…in fact, it’s impossible for me to pick a fave because I love them both so much!
One of my favorite macaron places ever is Laudrée. I’m so lucky that my boyfriend and I got to go to the original store in Paris. In fact, all the macarons in France are a million times better than the ones found here in the States! Sadly, I have not found any good macaron stores in my area… if you have any suggestions for the LA area, please let me know!

Braved this horrible rain just for the sake of acquiring green ketchup! Remember the days when Ore Ida use to have a line called Funky Fries that came in a variety of colors and flavors like chocolate and cinnamon….sigh, those were the days :)
