with love, friday.
Posted: November 4, 2011 Filed under: babble | Tags: friday, pinkberry 7 Comments »Friday night. In bed listening to the pitter patter of raindrops outside, snuggled up with my laptop watching “Kitchen Nightmares”… I think that’s a pretty awesome way to end a great day.
My Friday consisted of the-day-after lasagna (taste even better than when I first made it), Twilight, a stroll in the cold weather to get Pinkberry and of course, endless couch cuddles! Heheh :)
Now that the holiday season is upon us, Pinkberry has released Peppermint Pinkberry as their newest seasonal offering. I get very excited every time Pinkberry releases a new flavor, but my boyfriend always gives me the skeptical face. To be honest, I’m a bit skeptical too but I still try because I just love Pinkberry! Here’s a tip, if you’re unsure if you’ll love/hate it ask for a sample. They gave us a generous sample of the new peppermint flavor and it was…ok, too sweet, and not their greatest. Boyfriend thought it tastes like gum hahah. It didn’t,more like way too sweet peppermint…trust me, I’m quite the Pinkberry connoisseur :)

did you know I'm quite the groupie? for a long time, I had two cards! finally used one to get my free pinkberry today :)

we shared the pomegranate with strawberries/cookies and cream/milk chocolate shavings (for him), and mochi (for me! oh btw, I don't share my mochi so don't even try to steal one :)

as a special treat, pinkberry has tattoos! if you see a girl walking around with the gingerbread man tattoo on her arm, come say hi! :)
That’s my Friday in food! What about your Friday? Hope your Friday night was fantastic!

here we go again…Happy National Candy Day!
Posted: November 4, 2011 Filed under: babble | Tags: candy, candy day, food, national candy day 8 Comments »That’s right, ANOTHER foodie day! November 4 is National Candy Day. What a perfect excuse to indulge in candy! :)
Do you wonder why it’s November 4th and not some other day like October 31st (doesn’t that just make more sense?) or November 1st (when candy is extra cheap!)…it just makes more logical sense, no? Sigh I’m just as befuddled as you guys are!
I love candy as much as the next person! My inner child finds comfort in gummy orange slices, gummi bears (white chocolate covered gummi bears are to die for!), grapefruit slices, and sour patch anything… I love gummy candies!
On the chocolate candy front, I love Kit-Kats!! The white chocolate Kit-Kats are hard to find but I did find another yummy alternative that taste just the same!
In honor of candy day, here are some homemade favorites!

Homemade Twix Bars (recipe here):
White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups (recipe here):

Which one is your favorite? Those white chocolate peanut butter cups look amazing!
Happy National Candy Day! Let’s all have a piece of two :)

Good morning!! Finally, rain season is upon us and it’s starting to feel a lot like the holidays. It hardly rains here in way-too-sunny LA, so I am happy!! I love getting all bundled up for the rain. What about you? Do you love rainy days too? :)
Rain days are dedicated to couch snuggles, movies, and Seinfeld, all while having the fire in the back. Ohhh yeah, I can’t wait! What are some of your favorite rainy day activities?
By the way, aren’t the days going by quicker?! The week just blew by! This week, my boyfriend did all the cooking (I cooked for date night), what a sweetheart! Check out his fried tacos from earlier in the week, it’s an updated all-time favorite of mine that he only makes me me (that’s what I tell myself, hehe). For date night, I made Paula Deen’s infamous Lots O’Meat Lasagna. It was too000 delicious! More to come on that later, I promise :)
For now, check out some of my favorites that made this week memorable…
